Map: King of the Hilt

This presentation is a call from the past, as for the Facepunch anniversary, i had to review all the work i’ve done with Rust in the last months.  This is a WIP map, because it was one of my first, and I’ve refined my techniques since…

The Hilt, the protection on a knife or sabre… can also be a hill so massive that it dominate the entire island.  And that’s what it is. An elevation, a raising ground perfect for the biggest and most powerful Clan Base possible

This Hilt is visible accross the entire 36km2 map, with an height of more than the limit of the game itself.  A summit that any clan will fight to conquer.  But for it, you have to walk the 2km cliff-road or raise thru the air with a Heli…

There is also some scenery never ever seen in Rust… the biggest and loudest active waterfall imaginable. And now that we have winter sleds, we can have a winter version of this map that has the biggest frozen slide ride ever..

And what is the most important element we need on a conquest map?  loots… a lot of them.  For players who are in rush to raise to the hilt, we have more than 10 custom monuments that have tier2 and tier3 loots… no need to go offshore to fight heavy scientists to be equiped… do it on the ground with these Cobalt installations.

Location, location… If you’re too occupied fighting, you do not want to build a mega base with walls everywhere… Why not rent this exceptional compound where each player can build his own little base in a appartment?  This can be a Hotel, or a clan base as you wish!

And for the trainyard lovers, an tiny version of it, a complete Train Station with a PVP Arena… of trainwrecks…

This installation makes the Trainyard a second to nothing comparaison of what is to play with rails and wagons.  If you install the “Trains” plugin, you can even have working trains with their own paths.

And if you have friendly roamers, solo players and roleplayers, you can profit from this kind of roadside monuments that can be the perfect  host for these friends…

There are more elements to explore on this map, like all the others… so be quick to be the owner of it…
