Hello!
I contacted you at vb.com and you sent me here – wow cool site and I think this is exactly what I need to get my forum all set up the way I want it FINALLY.
I didn’t know if you wanted me to check in here like I did over there, so I just took a chance. Do I need to remind you of what we discussed there?
Thanks, and looking forward to working with you.

you made the right move… 😉
in the next hours i’ll re-release the “Introduction Thread on Registration” product i have here… i think i just forgot to do so in the past, like for the millions of other products i have here!
Ok, most awesome then, looking forward to that.
So I assume that this takes the place of having a Welcome PM? Sounds like it to me!

Actually it was complement to the tool… i will release these two addons seperately, but you can take both…
the Welcome PM addon is simple, and i think that 10 or 15 versions were released on vb.org, mine is not really different… 🙂 but it works!
Ok, I am having trouble navigating, sorry, how do I find out when you release these? Is there some place I look specifically?
they will be posted in the vbE Complimentaries, they are small hacks, not major enhancements displayed in the bottom of the front page.
Not rushing, but is it there and I just don’t see it? I can be quite blind at times.
you’re not blind… sorry but i was still clearing the ants invasion at home… and as we have a heat wave here, i’m not working on the computer with it’s 35 degrees and above… i don’t want to make it fry.
ok, i come back to you with this… i have a question, because right now i figured out that you were talking about the “Welcome Private Message” feature in vBulletin 3.8, and not that same feature that was released as a product before version 3.8 … am i right? you are on a 3.8 vbulletin, so you are supposed to have this integrated now…
AdminCP >> vBulletin Options >> User Registration Options >> Welcome Private Message
if this feature is not working properly, you will have to fill a support ticket at http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_contactform.php
Yes, that is what I am talking about. I wanted you to go to this thread that I posted at vb.com to see what I was talking about.
The feature itself is fine, it sends a PM to the new user, it is just that I cannot EDIT the text to put what I want!
Phrase Manager – Welcome PM – Not Changing – vBulletin Community Forum
I did everything Steve told me to do, and it still didn’t change. If I don’t have to put a support ticket in, I would appreciate it. Peggy said you might be able to help me.
So do you feel I still need to go to the support ticket route?
bah, no, i’ll pm you… 🙂
