Apologies for the delayed reply. Yes, Don and I would be interested in talking further with you about this, however, we simply are too buried with work leading up to the release of 4.0.
If it’s okay with you, I would like to propose that we continue the discussion shortly after 4.0 is released. Would that work for you?

What that mean, is that we will not release anything related to MTF or anyother big engine until i have a solid discussion with Ray. I applied to the INET enrolement program, they decided i was one of the best prospects of the year.
I can not guaranty anything based on the discussions i had with Ray and Don, but if the Product Manager and the General Manager are willing to discuss the integration of MTF into the future vBulletin, we will have to stay focus and shut-up… rofl
You can do whatever you want with the MTF, if you don’t care about Jelsoft… you’re the actual owner of that script after all… but if i were you, i would wait until Ray put a signature in the bottom of a contract… lol we never know, they may even ask us to work the entire vB 5.0… 🙂 with the budget that goes with it.

ok, btw, without going too far in the dream, what would you require as a salary for working 30 hours per week on this vB 5.0 ???
I actually dont know if i could do 30 hours a week as i am going back to collage soon, I will have time but i probably could only do maybe 15-20 a week.. and I will wait on MTF 🙂

so instead of breaking the mood, what if i simply hire you on part-time job for what it worth?… because it’s not a 2 months long job, if they are really interested, it would be for at least a year, so you can come back full time when you want… 😉
and if you’re so occupied, they would not hire you directly anyway, they requirethat you are dedicated to the job, not to your studies… so it would be better if i deal with the situation and hire you anyway — i think. anyway, i may have to build my own team if that’s what they want.

They probably will be fine with what ever you want, as they same really impressed by your ideas.
i don’t think they are impressed yet, they are just having a solid solution for their next version, because right now they are just writing the roadmap for the 4.1 and 4.2… they do not see far enough for the 5.0…
btw, i want to provide them with major ideas regarding 5.0, like live update and rss feeds for the dashboard, exactly like WordPress works right now *( you click « update » and it does everything on its own )…
